1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the InterBuddy platform, including the website (interbuddy.in), mobile application, and all related services operated by InterEd Ventures (“Company”), based in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India.

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of InterBuddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the platform.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or email. Your continued use of InterBuddy after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

InterBuddy is designed for students in India from Class 9 through postgraduate level. To use the platform, you must meet the following criteria:

• You must be at least 13 years of age. Users between 13 and 18 years require consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• You must be a current student or recent graduate (within 2 years of graduation) at a recognised educational institution in India or abroad.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
• You must have a valid email address and mobile number.

InterBuddy reserves the right to verify your student status at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility criteria.

3. Account Responsibilities

When you create an InterBuddy account, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Do not share your password with anyone.
• All activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
• Keeping your profile information accurate and up to date, including your educational details, contact information, and skills.
• Notifying us immediately at hello@interbuddy.in if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

InterBuddy is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain the security of your account.

4. Platform Services

InterBuddy provides the following services through its nine core modules:

4.1 Community

College-wise and course-wise student communities, peer support, mentorship connections, alumni interactions, discussion forums, study circles, and resource sharing. Users must adhere to community guidelines and treat all members with respect.

4.2 Career

Internship listings, part-time job postings, fresher job alerts, resume building tools, and career guidance. InterBuddy acts as an intermediary and does not guarantee employment or internship placement.

4.3 Skills

Integration with third-party skill platforms, certification tracking, skill-to-job mapping, and learning recommendations. InterBuddy does not issue certifications directly; certificates are provided by the respective third-party training platforms.

4.4 Gigs

Company-based gigs (data entry, social media handling, surveys, event volunteering) and skill-based gigs (graphic design, video editing, content writing, digital marketing). All gigs require admin approval, involve verified companies, include a rating system, and use secure payment processing. InterBuddy charges a platform fee on gig transactions as disclosed at the time of gig acceptance.

4.5 Higher Education

Study in India guidance (UG/PG programmes, entrance exams, college comparison, admissions) and Study Abroad guidance (UK, Canada, Australia, USA, Europe) including course selection, SOP/LOR assistance, visa support, education loans, forex services, and insurance. Higher education consulting services are delivered through InterWise, a sub-brand of InterEd Ventures.

4.6 Finance

Application fee payments, gig payouts, education loan connections, forex card services, and student insurance. Financial services are facilitated through InterFx and partner institutions. InterBuddy does not directly provide loans, forex cards, or insurance policies. All financial products are subject to the terms of the respective financial institution.

4.7 Events

Listings for workshops, webinars, hackathons, and campus events. Event registration, reminders, and post-event resources. InterBuddy is not liable for the content, quality, or conduct of events hosted by third-party organisers.

4.8 Content

Articles, blog posts, student success stories, career guidance, and educational resources. All content published on InterBuddy is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.

4.9 Ambassador Programme

Campus ambassador opportunities, referral programmes, and rewards. Ambassadors must comply with programme guidelines and represent InterBuddy in accordance with our brand values.

5. User Conduct

As a user of InterBuddy, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or offensive content on any part of the platform
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation
• Use the platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorised purpose
• Spam, harass, bully, or threaten other users through community features, messaging, or forums
• Upload viruses, malware, or any harmful code to the platform
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from InterBuddy without prior written consent
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts, personal information, or restricted areas of the platform
• Use InterBuddy to promote competing platforms, products, or services without authorisation
• Manipulate gig ratings, reviews, or referral systems through fraudulent activity

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, at InterBuddy’s sole discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, logos, and branding on InterBuddy are the intellectual property of InterEd Ventures and are protected under Indian intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any part of the platform without our prior written permission.

Content you create on InterBuddy (posts, comments, reviews, forum answers) remains your intellectual property. However, by posting content on the platform, you grant InterBuddy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute your content within the platform and in promotional materials.

7. Payments and Refunds

Payments on InterBuddy are processed through third-party payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree, or equivalent). By making a payment, you agree to the payment gateway’s terms of service.

• Gig payouts are processed within 7 working days of gig completion and client approval.
• Platform fees on gig transactions are non-refundable.
• Application fees and service charges for higher education consulting are non-refundable once the service delivery has commenced.
• Refund requests for other services will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact hello@interbuddy.in within 7 days of the transaction.
• InterBuddy is not responsible for payment failures, delays, or errors caused by third-party payment gateways or banking institutions.

8. Limitation of Liability

InterBuddy is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, InterEd Ventures shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform
• Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities
• Actions, conduct, or content of other users, employers, gig providers, or third-party partners
• Service interruptions, technical failures, or maintenance downtime
• Decisions made based on information or guidance provided through the platform

9. Termination

InterBuddy reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination:

• Your access to the platform and all associated services will be revoked.
• Any pending gig payouts will be processed within 30 days, subject to completion verification.
• Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and data retention guidelines.
• Content you have posted in communities and forums may remain visible to other users unless you request deletion prior to account termination.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to your use of InterBuddy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes through informal negotiation by contacting us at hello@interbuddy.in. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue legal remedies.
